Overview

Weather Apartment is a mini-project I took on to share what I can create with limited assets and some fine attention to detail, showcasing my technical art skills.

This original idea was to create a children's toy that would teach them weather names. For this project I did the toy design, technical art, animation and programming.

Animations

Each animation makes the character feel alive. Simply dragging the object to expand it feels rewarding.

This custom curve for moving the character from the point of release to the point in sky makes the magnetic pull motion feel natural.

All 3 characters: Sun, Cloud and Rainbow were made using just these 4 shapes.

Process Work

First design sketch. Original idea included non-weather characters (like Mr. Banana and Bear) that you would drop on the sidewalk.
